A better race program ?
Following Seasons of similar race types over identical or similar distances being scheduled for the same day, with refusals by the site operators to fully comprehend the problem and statements to say that clashes were unavoidable, on June 9th 2008 I decided to spend a little time to seeing whether this issue could be addressed. In under half an hour I devised the following which although not perfect would not only help to avoid these clashes but also cut the rotation of races from the current 9-day schedule down to a 7-day schedule thus ensuring that all horses would have at least 4 suitable distance races per month.

Will we ever see anything like this implemented ?
Sadly I very much doubt it for a couple of reasons:
- The current Race Programmer is reportedly one of the senior staff and compensates with arrogance for a lack of ability.
- This would give all raceable horses a more viable race program with less likelihood of outstanding stable fees.
